Quality and progress with a solid tradition.

Here are the most important stages in our company history:
On March 1st, 1947, the company was founded in Krefeld as „Buchdruckerei Fritz Schotte“. The founder, Fritz Schotte (photo), was trained as a Schweizerdegen, or a compositor-printer, which was the best recognized training for setting and printing.

In 1957, the printing shop settled in Bruchstrasse 19-21, after moving twice. The „Buchdruckerei Fritz Schotte“ became „Schottedruck“.
During the same year, „Schottedruck“ became one of the first companies in Germany to switch from letterpress printing to offset printing, thereby taking a leading role in printing technology even then.

A few years later, during the 60s, Schotte became a technology leader in the industry by switching from hot-metal composition to filmsetting.
